Yea this is the first vehicle I have had that didn’t have a rpm gauge or a oil gauge just a coolant gauge. I think it’s very odd?

Thats awesome man. Looks to me just replaced normal things that are going to go out normally. I have 339k I bought it with 338k miles and plan on just slowly changing all fluids along with plugs and a few other things. They say if it’s not broke don’t fix it right?

I drive about 20k miles a year just to work and back everyday which is 84 miles a day. I only paid $500 for it and with fuel savings along with no truck note I can save 12k in 3 years alone which by then I want have 398k miles. I just did a fill up yesterday I went 328 miles on only 12.8 gallons so I get 25.5 mpg which is awesome compared to my ford lariat that gets 11mpg.

Mine has 192k and have no issues. I've been diligent with keeping up on minor issues and frequent oil changes. Plan on having for much longer.

2002 Tacoma. 2RZ FE, 2 wd. Purchased brand new in 2002 with 13 test drive miles on it. It now has 220,712 miles on it.
Aside from normal maintenance I’ve swapped out a few things:
    - both door handles
    -vsv
    -charcoal canister
    -starter
    -clutch replacement
I’ve also swapped out the spark plugs twice and the belts once. I’m about to change out the belts again in the next couple weeks. The AC compressor pulley is squeaking so I may look into that.
Recently had an issue with shifting and a slight grinding noise in the gear box. Swapped out the gear oil in the gear box AND the rear dif oil (for the first time ever). Shifting is smoother and grinding noise has subsided.
Future work on it includes rear shock replacement and control arm boot replacement.

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. No rust issues at all, but the heat and dry atmosphere hates rubber. I’ve swapped out my wipers at least once a year since I bought it.

Other than the stated it runs almost like the day I bought it.

Wish i could take all the credit for that but i bought it with 275,000. Once in my hands i didn't drive it for about a month. Had my local shop go thru and due some overhauling nothing major but basically told them if you see anything funny just fix/change. New suspension was the last major issue. All and all shes been a great truck cant wait for another 300,000

Awesome man. Yeah I have 350,000 on my Tacoma now but I bought it with 348k miles so I can't claim allot of the miles. I know it has to be atleast taken care of to even get to 350k miles. I have only flushed the radiator and added new antifreeze and installed a tee in the heater core line to flush myself at home. I also cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner and what a HUGE difference it made. I also charged the a/c with R134 and is blowing ice cold air now. I just got done running 5 ounces of seafoam thru the brake booster along with 5 ounces in the fuel and oil. I plan on changing my oil and filter within the next month or so. I only paid $500 for the truck so no complaints so far!

Interested in your heater core "TEE" project that sounds pretty legit never thought about that. Anything to make self maintenance easier. 500$ dam what a steal ...got mine for 5,500 but its super clean paint still shines and no rips in the interior. Spent another 5k in mechanical issues in the beginning and about another 5k in rig building pretty set now, hopefully i'm done spending money on this thing lol, fingers crossed.

Yea I bought the truck off a guy that didn’t know much about vehicles. He wanted 1,200 I talked him into $500 cash and title in hand. The tee you can get is a prestone flush kit it’s like $6 at any auto parts store. All you do is find the heater line going to the block not the line that feeds thru the thermostat. Splice the line install the tee with clamps and your done. There is a adapter that is hose thread that adapts to your hose bib fitting and then turn on water and it flushes everything out. Afterwards there is a cap you put on and your all set. I think it’s a good deal for $6 and a convenience for a at home coolant flush.

Yea yours seems to be in better shape than mine has a few tiny dents so clear coat coming off the hood but other than that it’s my daily driver to and from work. I get 25mpg I just recorded mileage and divided that with how many gallons I added. I added sea foam to oil, brake booster and fuel and it made my idle even out more at idle. Idk why but before from drive to park it would idle higher in park and def. runs better. Sea foam isn’t but $10 a can and it’s worth it in my opinion. I am all for cheap ways to improve my truck. The next thing I will be doing is the blower motor fan for inside truck it has bearing noise and annoying when a/c is on. This has no effect on a/c after I just added r134 it’s ice cold just the noise is very annoying. I can get a new one for about $40 so def. worth it. The truck came with new tires a toolbox and bed liner and windshield doesn’t have one crack in it. I guess I got very very lucky for $500 because looking online I can’t find anything that runs for that cheap for that matter.
