200,000 Mile Club (1st Gen Tacomas)

House painter has 400,000 plus 17 year owner

 

Shell's off for thorough cleaning. Mileage at 399k so another 1000 to go....

 

Bought mine with 254k on dash. Tyranny replaced at 325k. Just some minor repairs and a bed box with a built in speaker system for drive in movie nights. Currently at 398k and going strong on my Lil beater truck (former farm truck)

 

Just did a 2600 mile road trip in a weeks time - half done in two days. Just rolled 207K.

What tires you running? Great looking ride. There’s nothing like the first gens.

 

Thanks! 265/75/16. Goodyear Wranglers. Aftermarket front springs and an extra leaf in the back to allow for the tire size.

 

Pretty Cool Thread at least it's not full of a bunch of Thurd Gens asking are these wheels hub-centric? I'm going to regret this too!

 

Finally went over...kinda hard to take the photo, had to pull over. Still going strong other than I need to do a timing belt now that it's at 400k.

‘98 Tacoma Limited with 240,000. Drove from VA to CO; then CO to Kearney NE (tranny died); Kearney to MI; MI back to VA. Now I’m chasing a clunk. It’s not real loud, but I know it’s something. Did steering rack, lower control arm, and some other maintenance stuff. I love it. I love working on it, and I love driving it.

 

232,200 miles! I bought it with 211,000. I'm the 3rd owner. First owner put 187k on it. Paid $6500 for it. The seller reset the CEL indicator before I bought it and I was not privy to such shenanigans. So it ended up needing another $500 or so in work to get it registered. That lead me to learn how to be my own mechanic! so it worked out.

I've put probably $8k into it since with replacing the entire suspension and other stuff. Rides like new now!

 

I must edit, I usually keep my truck ODO on active miles instead of total miles, well I switched to total the other day and realized that my ODO reading is actually 297,000 not 240... I'm almost in the 300,000 mile club! wooot!
