200 miles per tank

I a,pm getting 200 miles per tank, wondering if it's just eintervorvsomeijg else. I just did timing belt and have a 3 inch lift and 33 10.5 15. It's cold out here -25 Celsius and I have probably idled my truck for an hour or more total on this tank. I did 40 percent town driving 60 highway. Plugs are done, wires and coils. New filters and cleaned maf and tb. Is it just winter? I use to get 270 miles per tank

 

probably a combination of things, idling and a lot of city driving on winter-blend gas. i pretty much ignore my gas mileage in the winter since it's so wildly varied, depending on conditions (plus the runs up to the mountain for snowboarding don't help the mileage!)...

but come to think of it, i pretty much ignore my mileage all the time.

 

Kinda what I'm thinking, I just checked and don't have any pending codes. And my o2 sensors are original eith 225k miles

 

You know that your odometer is now reading low since you went to 33s right. Multiply 200 times the difference in size tire from what you had before.

For example, if you had 31s before, the 200 is probably closer to 220.

 

My truck was stock with 225 75 15 now 33 10.5 15 what would difference be

 

225/75-15= ~28" diameter so 33s are about 17% larger.

200x.17= 34 So when your odo says you have gone 200 miles, it is reading about 34 miles low.

Your speedo is also off by the same factor.

What gearing do you have in there? I hope at least factory 4.10

Couldn't hurt to regear to 4.56 or 4.88

Actually, when you regear, it makes the speedo and odo off the other way, they will read high, not low like his are now. How high depends on the original ratio and whether 4.56s or 4.88s are used to regear.

What is the axle code on the sticker in your drivers side door jamb? Is it B03A or perhaps another one? It'll be listed under A/TM (axle/transmission)

 

I'm pretty sure it's b03a it's the common gearing for these trucks,
