    Hi friends,

Looking for some advice regarding my 2000 3.4L XTR. Beauty vehicle. Owned it since 2007. Frame and body are in good shape. Runs well. Mostly southern Ontario driven - with a couple years out West. 300K kms. Photo attached.

The muffler pipe rusted out, and when it was pulled off, some of the outside of the bolt holes on the flange attached to the catalytic converter came off with it. None of the local shops want to touch it. Needs a bit of other work too (e.g. brake lines).

Any thoughts on what to do? It's not urgent, I don't drive it much, am open to ideas. At some point I'd be OK with it going to a good home...I guess. I'm near Hamilton.

    Thanks!

How hard is it to replace the cat with a universal and put a new tail pipe in? If they can't do that, they aren't a muffler shop, they are methies with a muffler storefront.
