I just bought a 2000 Prerunner and need some advice. I will be changing most of the fluids in the truck, plugs and wires. What is a good ATF to use for a truck this old. Can synthetic be used if not what do some of you folks use. I bought the truck to put about 100k over a 2 year period doing service work in the Kentucky/Tennessee areas.

I use the OEM toyota fluid. Nothing fancy. But I have been changing to religiously every 30K.

Don't use synthetic oil. I have an 02 and as soon as i switched my valve covers started leaking. Switched back to Wal mart oil and she is back to perfect again. You don't have to use anything fancy on this truck. I'm about to roll over 600,000 miles on my original 3.4 and have always used the cheaper stuff
