2000 PreRunner Drivers door will not open

    My Friend's driver side door will not open using either inside or outside door handle. He is Disabled because of an accident at work so looking to help him. The door unlock button only goes part way up and the door will not open. He said he heard something pop off and fall down in door. Anyway to open the door?

    I would try the hanger trick to unlock it. sounds like the lock assembly or linkage piece fell off. if the lock only goes up 1/2 way, maybe the hanger trick will unlock it. then once it is opened, you can get it fixed.
