Old man's truck is like new.... Smells like gold Bond though. What are the limits of the rear diff? Are 31's a bad size? Need optimal efficiency and performance suggestions. Thanks

    WELCOME....

31 is very common tire size for tacoma in my area. Had a 98 years ago and up size to 31 and didn't even notice a difference in fuel mpg or rpm to speed change, 4.10 diff. Match and better looking than stock size tires in my opinion.

Rear diff? endless.... Truck have Elocker or......?

Performance suggestion on tacoma? Will not preform like my garage beast, that's for sure.
Add a supercharger, 7th injector kit and pulley upgrade, header, CAI and you'll love it

The saying: efficiency and performance will not settle well together, it's one or the other

Ediff I assume. Push button. 4x2... Worked nicely today. Slick, jagged, narrow, incline never lost grip. Not modding it. May get some road shoes and keep these Michelin 31 LTX M/T's for foul weather.

If you haven't bought it, you might want to consider 4wd. Rather have it and not need it then not have it and need it. Price shouldn't be much different.

Elocker are good. I have them and abused them, haven't let me down. Running 37.
