    2000 Tacoma. 4x4 Manual.

Just had the clutch replaced. Works great. Replaced the trans fluid recently as well.

But, my shifter is crap. Sometimes it won't even go into gear. It does better when warm. Shifts rough when starting.

Someone said it might be the synchronizers?

    Any thoughts?

    Welcome to the Forum!!

Was the shifter bushing and seat changed with the clutch ??

Hard shifting into all the gears ? Does it jump out of gear??

Did you find lots of metal dust or pieces when you changed the transmission fluid ??

It is hard shifting into first and second and reverse from a standstill or when going slow. When rolling it tends to go into third or fourth or fifth pretty well.

Shifter bushing and seat were not changed when the clutch was replaced.

The fluid was pretty dirty. There was a decent amount of metal pieces.

It does not jump out of gear. It can be hard to shift it out of gear.

If it matters, my street is fairly steep. It definitely struggles (it seems) on the incline.
