I would feel something loose in the front end when hitting bumps also. Front end suspension parts were tight as were the tierods and ball joints. I found that the rack & pinion bushings were weak allowing movement which i felt in the steering wheel. I replaced the worn oem rubber bushings with poly bushings from Energy Suspension. Made a BIG difference in my taco & 4runner.

Just one final update to this thread. I ended up putting all new shocks and front springs on the truck which fixed the rattle in the front suspension. Did a few other minor things and the truck has performed great after almost 3,000 miles. No leaks, no issues and it's been a fun truck to own. I bought it for $1,600 and just sold it for $7,500 to my buddy. Here in CA, I probably could have gotten $8,500 for it but I wanted it to go to a good home. I'm really proud of this project and it was a lot of fun. I had never done an engine swap before but everything just worked out great. I much prefer driving this truck over my 2002 Double Cab 4x4 3.4 Automatic, but I'm going to sell that truck too one of these days. Now the truck will move on to the next chapter of it's life and I'm just glad it didn't end up getting parted out!

some people enjoy building and fixing them more then owning and looking at them.

he finished his project and is moving on to his next project, I think its great to bring trucks back to new life and sell them to good homes and new owners.

I don't think he got rid of it for any reason other then it was finished and time for a new project

I bought this truck for the sole reason of fixing it. Once I fixed it, i had trouble letting it go which is why I still have it over seven months after I did most of the major repairs. I currently have five vehicles, so I need to reduce my "fleet".

I'll be selling a TRD Supercharger kit with about 5k miles w/ URD 7th injector kit, OME full lift with Camburg UCA's and a few other odds and ends soon.
