I bought the truck with abs light on. Thought I’d try to diagnose the problem and get it fixed. Jumped the diagnostic port under the hood. Got codes 31,32,33,34,44,51. Can’t imagine that all the wheel speed sensors are bad. Has anyone had a similar problem or any advice?
    Thanks,
    Eli

I had the same issue the light would come on and flash and sometimes when I stopped to break the abs would engage lock up and not let me stop the vehicle so I pulled the abs fuse. Later i had it diagnosed and the abs computer was bad.

That doesnt sound good. Mine doesnt act up any the abs light just stays on. The previous owner said the pump was bad so im either thinking its that or the abs computer.

I have a similar issue on a 2000 3.4L and I'm looking for confirmation of the terminals to jump.

I watched a few videos that mentioned the jumper. However, the guy in this video with the diag port under the hood, like our wasn't clear. The audio cut out and I think he said it was E1 and TC?

    It's at 30 Secs in.

Never mind I found a copy of the repair manual and it says.

"Using SST, connect terminals Tc and E1 of DLC1."

Update. I made a jumper wire from fork terminal and cut one side. Jump E1 and TC. Then click on the ignition. I through 4 codes: 31, 32. 41, 44.

31/32 are the front wheel sensor. I will pull them clean out and inspect the wires. They are just inductors (coils) so the should work unless there is a open in the circuit which is unlikely.

41 is a low battery, which just happened because the battery ran down.
    44 is the deceleration sensor.

I pulled the main ECU connector and cleaned it out with some contact cleaner prior to the test.

For giggles I reset it and the light is out for now. Figured it was worth a try for a few days and see what happens.
