2000 Tacoma driver arm rest replace/remove

Hello,

Any help greatly appreciated to locate the driver side arm rest/handle and/also help with removing it? Snap up? Pull up? It has peeled up. I am original owner and now getting it ready for my daughter when she gets her license.

 

Pretty sure there are two bolts under those small round covers. Use a small pick to remove them and you should see the bolts.

 

Pop the plugs remove the screws disconnect the light.

Gorilla tape has held my master switch in for years!

Pull up on the window switch trim. Unplug the switch

Pull the two plugs out of the armrest. Use a pick or a small flathead. Remove the two dunked screws with a Phillips.

Unplug courtesy light.

Unscrew armrest. It’s held on with several Phillips head screws.

 

What I don’t get, the driver side armrest pad is still available in both moon mist and oak, passenger side is discontinued in both colors everywhere I’ve looked

 

To help some people out, the armrests are identical to 2nd Gen 4Runners (1990-1995). The colors may be slightly different in certain iterations, but they will bolt up no issue.
