Looking for 2000 Tacoma rear sliding lock window latch.

looked online but I don’t know what is a genuine vs counterfeit part. And I don’t know if this is an original(pictured) Any help would be great. Thanks

I went with this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/192310995666 which is not OEM compared to the broken one I took off my '96. It does work, and seems to be very snug when closed. Much more so than when my original worked.20220817_162047.jpg

Good luck with finding actual OEM if that's what you prefer. I'm happy to have a locking window after a decade :D

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Mine was tapped with Duct tape.

Since I would never open the window I never gave it a thought!

If you don't need it open, sounds like a good plan! Duct tape has had its fair share of use on my truck too. I have an old quad that fits in the bed of my truck if the rear window is open. Otherwise the brush guard up front would break the window.

Thank you this helps me. I will be ordering same one suggested off eBay....

I know it’s such a petty subject but I’m trying to keep my truck original as much as possible with parts that function and last. Appreciate the feedback!

It's price is also 10 bucks cheaper than when I got it, so that's a plus!

If that's your intention with the truck, that's fine in my opinion. We aren't typically building/repairing these for someone else. I'm working on my 2WD 5 lug from '96. Probably a money pit to some, but it's something I enjoy. So I'm happy :)
