    It’s a big job buddy, if not a shop press you will need the special tools and ingenuity. It may be easier to replace the knuckle as a whole with pressed in fresh bearings

    I’m not certain. It’s just a measure I’ve resorted to with other vehicles but don’t mean you won’t need a lot of force to press the knuckle onto the axle shaft still.

    Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
    @Andy01DblCabTacoma thanks for the tag.

    A lot of mixed messaging going on in this thread.

    1. 2WD or 4WD is irrelevant and the same front bearing, but need to clarify that I am only talking about 6 lug.
    2. Any number of ways to do this, but would only recommend a press or swap loaded knuckles for a guaranteed need to get running daily.
    3. I build loaded knuckles all the time, but the cost comes into OEM part prep cost. The bearings are about $100 each for OEM. They are one shot bearings, so any deflection or jammed up "redos" ruin them.
    4. The most important thing about your wheel bearings are lateral preload. ADD/4WD this is accomplished through the CV stub shaft. MANUAL 4WD/2WD is accomplished with the hub locknut at 203lb/ft torque.

    Where are you located?

    12 ton press along with the bushing install set no problem. I just used the sleeves with the press, didn’t try the threaded rods. This is a Sequoia spindle pictured but same part numbers for bearing, hub, and inner/outer seals.IMG_2819.jpg IMG_2785.jpg IMG_2788.jpg IMG_2803.jpg

    Just take them to a local shop. Shouldnt cost much and you wont have to worry about having the right tools and the work required to get the old ones pressed out and new ones pressed in. When I did my front bearings I was back and forth on getting a press/tools needed for this job and finally decided to just take them to the shop. Dropped them off early morning and picked them up at noon. Glad I went this route

    You will spend more on DIY on this, trust me. Find a local shop. Mine did both for 100 when I brought them the spindles and new bearings.
