2000 Trd V6 5pd Manual rear locker. 215k

Time to part ways with my 2000 xtra cab. This vehicle has 215k on the 3.4 v6 mated to the 5 speed manual transmission. Truck runs great and always has. Rear locker works well. I’ve had the vehicle for ~5 years, during that time it has never given me trouble, always a reliable workhorse, has never thrown a code on me! Truck has spent the vast majority of its life in California, it is rust free and really a pleasure to work on underneath. Truck is now located in Reno Nv, title in hand.


Included with the sale will be a Northwest fabworks eco crawler gear box that I purchased for the truck. It has been taken out of the box one time, I will include pictures. They run ~$1600 new.


The good

Engine is running strong, it does not burn or leak enough oil to need a top off between oil changes.

Suspension was refreshed about 7 thousand miles ago, all bushings replaced, new shocks and coils, as well as upper and lower ball joints.

Tires are in great condition

Inside is clean considering its age, carpet and plastics are in great condition

Truck has never towed a thing, doesn’t even have a receiver.

The bad

Time for a timing belt

Could use a clutch, squeaks a bit when it’s really cold out, could just use some adjustment

Dent in hood, still functions fine and no one ever notices, but worth disclosing.

Vibration over 75mph, wheel bearings are fine, it’s the carrier bearing.

Price is firm at 8k. I think it’s fair considering rust buckets with undisclosed maintenance issues are going for similar.

 

That seems like incredible value. That truck should sell quick.

 

This is a steal. Super clean truck.

 

What size are the duratracs? Any photos of the engine bay and the rear suspension?

If you want to sell the Eco crawler, I'll buy it from you....and you'd still be able to sell the truck for $8K. This is a smokin deal; too bad I'm in Hawaii.

Yeah pretty surprised myself. Probably would’ve bought this truck had it come up two-three weeks earlier as I just traveled cross country for one. Was looking in Arkansas for a while hoping to find a rust free Tacoma somewhat close.
