Curious to know the measurements of those LBJs if you got them in yet. I'd like to know how much of a *rise* the mounting location for the TRE has compared to the ones I have currently. That is, of course, if they mount to stock locations like the GS300 LBJs do...If you can provide the measurements I'll add the info to my previous post for easy searching. I'll measure mine and add it as well.

I just got them in today and unfortunately the mounting hole spacing is too narrow, 103mm outside to outside, so I'll be exchanging them for the GS300 LBJs.

How thick of a spacer did you make to clear the lower caliper bolt? I'll be turning them out at work so having a Min thickness for clearance would be really helpful.

Damn... Well at least now we know. I'll update the post.

Let me go measure the spacers and I'll report back.

A smidge over 7mm is what I needed. But keep in mind I have the Cadillac BBK, which uses a much larger caliper mount bolt, and the caliper doesn't slide like the OEM calipers do. If you still have the stock front brakes I'd do some mock fitting to make sure the caliper has room to slide in and out with the TRE mounting point being so much higher.

I'm running the same brake setup so I don't have to worry about any of that but it is a good thing to note for anyone else looking to do the same with stock brakes.

Just wanted to note that if you ever need to replace rotors Centric 121.42098 for a 2014 - 2018 Nissan Juke or 2007 - 2012 Nissan Sentra are 12oz lighter and don't need a spacer on the caliper mount like the Evo rotors. They still require the same machining for the center bore and mounting holes.

Since I had to stick with the spacers and GS300 LBJs I got some longer bolts and nord-lock washers. If anybody needs good metric bolts belmetric seems to be really good and their prices aren't crazy, even with shipping. 4 - JIS 10.9 M12x1.25mmx45mm bolts and appropriate sized nord-locks were just under 20 bucks including shipping.

Yep, they have been my go to for metric hardware for years now. Seem to always have the best pricing.

I got the sway bar back from my buddy. It turned out really good. Glad I went with flat black.

Everything looks great man, good work. I turned out some spacers at work today and will be ordering hardware soon but the install won't happen until after Thanksgiving. Thanks for doing all the legwork and providing measurements, I was a couple bad ideas away from cutting and flipping the factory joints before you found this.

    IMG_1414.jpg

ETA: I went 9mm with the spacers just incase.

Thanks man! I have started it and moved it in the shop a bit. Currently working on the bodywork to make the tires clear at the ride height I want and look right with the new flares. Although I haven't touched it in a week and half as I recover from a gastrointestinal infection that seemingly came out of nowhere. Itching to get back to it for sure!

I never thought I'd be into body work but here I am trying my hand at painting, and without rattle cans. Lmao

I sanded the hood down and got it primed today. I'm gunna go with a somewhat classic white racecar look with a flat black hood. My twist will be that the white is going to be finished in a satin clear. It might be sacrilege, but I'm thinking Honda Championship white. Even though it won't really be Honda's white if I put a satin clear on it. Lol

    PXL_20231125_212820193.jpg PXL_20231125_224120220.NIGHT.jpg

I've got some technique to master in order to keep it from looking stripey. I'm sure I'll figure it out. If not, I'll just keep sanding and painting.

Since this is a hobby that I know very little about I'm starting out cheap. This gun was $7.99 at harbor freight. I'm pretty dang satisfied though, TBH.

I also ordered some prerunner\4wd front fenders. I need the fenders to be wider and the 2wd fenders just aren't cutting it without some extreme metal work. Although I got something I wanna try, but we'll see how she goes.

The weather has been crappy the last week so my painting adventure has been delayed a lot. But today I managed to get the underside of the hood coated with some Hot Rod Black. I wish it would have come out slightly more matte colored, so I'm tempted to put some satin over it once I get that. Idk yet. I retained the factory decals for engine info and the vacuum routing, as well as the small little VIN sticker up by the latch.
