In case you wanna see it moving a little bit. Compression and rebound are at zero and preload is about 3\4" in this video. Of course once it's back on the road there will need to be some shock tuning. Lol

The rattling you here is frame hitting the lift arms near the floor. It scared the crap outta me at first :anonymous:

I've got some from old autocross events. Click the video above and then just go to my channel. I'm not a content creator or whatever but I have uploaded some stuff a long time ago.

Lookin good buddy, long time no hear....
Im about to 4 link mine as well. I finally turboed the V8 swap and recently got it running so its a fun little sucker.
It should make an easy 550+ on gas and 650 on E85.

    That's awesome!
Pretty cool setup you have there. Can't wait to see how it works out once you get it back together.

Put some grease fittings on the pivots of the rockers and cleaned up the link bars and started painting.

Been doing clean up and paint here and there. The axle is currently in paint but I got the link bars done, as well as the rockers.

Still have a fair bit to clean up on the frame before I paint that as well. That is going to be tedious due to all of the nooks and crannies. But it'll get there.

Everything is going to be semi-flat black with a satin clear.

Damn... What a decision! I would love to have one of those, but I'm a hoarder and have to be really really over something to get rid of one thing for another. You should see my shop

I've been in touch with every dealer in Maine trying to get my hands on one. It's a combination of many things, and I'm very excited to get it.

Cant wait to see this one back at the track with the new rear end and the results!

Good luck on your GR Corolla hunt @BananaMan!

I was also able to scoop up another machine I've dreamed of for awhile myself earlier this year.. meet the new girl Yvette:

    20230415_183933.jpg

Still holding on to good old Trudy (my Tacoma) of course, and even plan to do the next autocross event in the truck in June with her!

Think I also fall into the "hoarder" category...

Gorgeous car! I've driven a couple vettes, one c7 but a few c6's setup for autocross. Nice cars, handle well when tuned for turning. They just never gave me the itch of "I need one." Any planned tasteful mods like Trudy?

Axle is painted, gotta let it cure for 48 hours then I'll put the satin clear on it.

I also started cleaning up the frame, and what a pain in the ass that is. The factory welds are the hardest welds I've ever had the displeasure of trying to grind off. It took like 4-5 flap discs (60 grit!) to get rid of 1 leaf hanger!

    PXL_20230602_001921358.jpg

And this is all that's left to grind flush, but damn is it a pain in the ass!

Thanks for the kind words, I rode in all kinds of potential dream machines the last couple years auto-crossing and the C7 Z06 left the biggest grin on my face riding in, driving, and even looking at! I drove both the Z06 and Grand Sport on my search and found the GS a bit more balanced and nicer to drive overall. I found this one how I'd order it from the factory (GS, gray on black, manual trans, 1LT for least options and lightest weight) by my house for such a bargain I could not resist!

Not to hijack too much, but since you asked.. ;) She didnt need too much when I got her but I already replaced the fairly worn shift knob, center console arm rest, wipers, missing floor mats and under hood insulation with all new oem parts as you know I prefer. A Mobil1 supercar oil change, Attack Blue air filter, and a fresh cabin filter to true up the factory required maintenance. To increase the handling with the intent of potential auto-crossing down the road, I recently had the alignment set to GM track/performance specs which really woke up the car.

Then as luck would have it right as I was searching for the ultimate upgrade we all love - tires, I find Nankang just released their latest revision 200tw CRS Sportnex tire and they are actually making sizes that fit the factory wheels (295/30/19 and 325/30/20)! I placed these on order already and will have one of the first sets ever on a wide body C7 to test out, up till now there were no good choices in the top 200tw tires for the C7 using factory wheels. This should really increase the fun, handling, and ride a notch or two over the oem Michelin run flats, and may even be a pretty competitive setup for the super street class and work nicely for track days in the future.

The updates mentioned can all be seen below, oh yeah red Corvette lettering paint was flaking off the valve covers so I cleaned it all off with acetone during the detail too..

    upload_2023-6-2_12-19-56.jpg

She didnt look this clean when I got her, I spent a good week or more detailing everything in and out and under the hood to get her looking new again.

    20230415_184656.jpg

We'll see how she feels after the tires and maybe I'll get some more ideas for tuning and improvements down the road, you know how it goes!

The rate @Murd3rd is knocking this project out it may be back on the road before my tires come in.. keep it up!

Finished cleaning the frame up today, and got it primed. I also got a coat of the satin clear on the bottom of the rear axle.
