The increased psi will also give you a safer and more control ride. Just take it slow and give yourself more distance to stop

I've seen several 1st gen tacomas here in Afghanistan. Locals love their old 4runners and tacos. I see them loaded to the bump stops all the time, and the roads here are shit. Granted, they are usually diesels but why not?

Now... ask me to do that to MY truck...? Never.

Your truck is not a Hilux and is not intended to this kind of job.
    So don't do it

I'm in the Capital region. I just don't like the look from the top of the tire to the body. When comparing the front and rear the front always looks lower.

I picked up a pallet of paver from lowes. They used a fork truck and when the guy lowered the pallet onto my bed and I watched the rear dropp about 2 inches I almost sh!t a chicken ! I think my heart might have skipped a beat (2013 with 1000 miles on it )

It was just over 1000 lbs in weight...

Billies on all four corners with daystar spacer lift. Bought it like this. Replacing done with toytec ultimate 3" lift
I took a bobcat bucket of dirt in the back of my 1st gen and now I have to replace an axle seal. I sure as hell won't be doing that again! I will take the dually next time! Didn't take it the first time because I picked the dirt up at my work.
EDIT: It was a last minute type thing.

I had 90 garden landscape blocks @18.5lbs ea (1660lbs) in one trip. I have the Canadian leaf pack (US TSB) and a tough country AAL. Didnt touch the bump stops but definately would have without it. I would suggest two trips.

You had to replace seals after that puny amount of mulch?!?!?

I have hauled much more weight, this was last year before a lot of mods.

Your axle seal must have been on the way out already. That little bit of dirt IMO wouldn't have done it.

This weekend I hauled 2000 plus pounds of pavers in my 2013 Taco. The truck definitely didn't like it, but I drove under 20mph for 10 minutes or so. The back fender was about 1.5" from the top of the rear tires. I didn't hear any cracks or grinding. So, my question is, should I get the truck looked at to see if there is other damage? What should I tell the mechanic to look at? Trust me, I won't be hauling anything else again besides my quad in the future.

 This makes no sense. Just because it's a truck it doesn't mean it has unlimited payload.
