Does anyone know how to reset the fuel gauge on a 2004 toyota tacoma? My sender unit is reading correctly I know for a fact it is the fuel gauge. I am getting 110 ohms at the harness side to the cluster however, the fuel gauge is only read half a tank. I already ran the truck until empty then filled it up.

This problem occurred when I switched out my burnt out bulbs to leds. I accidentally moved the needle. Now the needle will not read right and stays at half tank.

Sounds like you might have bent the needle .

Move it back and hope it does not break

Find another used gauge to swap in .

Mine needs a new sending unit only have it for 3 years one of these days I will get to changing it
