    My Tacoma recently turned over 200k, and I was reminiscing about it in its earlier days when I was active here

    So this place is awesome and the FSMs are a huge help but what I'm dying for is a full parts fiche. Does anyone have a parts catalog for a 2002 4x4 2.7L 5speed Tacoma DLX Xcab?

    @mechanicjon

    That is amazingly helpful! Thanks a ton! For giggles, I took my taco to the dealership for a 125k mi tuneup and to ask about replacing the exhaust which has a giant hole in it. They quoted me something along the lines of $6k...

    I am in waaaaay over my head here.

    Ha... Apparently, Toyota of Manhattan only stocks special edition OEM dragonbone spark plugs and unicorn horn catalytic converters

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Ok i know this is a long shot but im hoping you guys are watching this thread... i have a 2003 tacoma SR5 TRD 3.4 v6. My 4 wheel drive stopped working. When i attempt to depress the 4x4 button in the cab on the transfer case selector which is a manual 2hi-4hi and 4low transfer case shifter with a push button 4 wheel drive button on the side of the knob... nothing happens... the transfer case nor the front diff move... So here is what ive attempted to fix thus far... first off it is not a vacuume system it is fully electric there are vent lines that come out of the actuators but are not controlled by vacuume. So its not a vacuume issue. I first attempted to replace the transfer case "switch"/position sensor... that did nothing same issue... i purchased a front diff actuator installed it and the old diff actuator was stuck in 4wd so i slid the gear back and set the new actuator to 2wd... same issue.. nothing happens. I disconnected the plug off of the front actuator and pushed the 4x4 button and the transfer case actuator placed the transfer case in to 4wd! By using pin 1 and 5 on the front actuator i placed the differential into 4wd so the actuator works... i reversed polarity and placed it back into 2wd and depressed the switch the transfer case went bavk.into 2hi... i know its electrical but is there a relay in my 4wd system of is it all in the 4wd computer can i purchase a new pigtail dor the 6 pin connector? I cannot find one similar to mine anywhere.in a junkyard near me i was hoping somebody has had this same issue...

    Posted in the wrong section. Yes you can buy the pladtic part of the pigtail from Toyota. You need the leters and numbers off the connector it self. Then go to this thread.

    I've taken my transmission off to replace the clutch and flywheel and I can't seem to find the torque specs for the flywheel. Any ideas?

    More than I can shake a stick at...
    Is there a simple PDF version available? Does anyone know if I pay for a subscription on Toyota’s TIS website will I be able to download the manual or just have access to their database for the length of the subscription? I have a Haynes, but it is barebones. I just want to be able to put it on the tablet and scroll and use a search function.

    Look four posts above yours. It's an 03 fsm. And it'll be close. Its not a PDF, but web based. It has ects-i & non-ects. Which are the main differing points between trucks. And I also wouldn't put much faith in the 03 EWD for your 02. But there's an 03 FSM PDF around.... But atm that's probably the best you'll get.

    Toyota's TIS is $$ for a 24 hour jaunt with whatever you can find & download within that 24 hours. Good luck. I have the paper FSM it's about 7" thick. And a few hundred sections.

    Not sure if it’s been posted but there’s a seller on eBay selling the manual for 10 dollars as an Efile, i purchased it and it’s complete as far as I can tell ,only down fall is that each section is labeled kinda confusing, you will understand it after spending a couple hours on it , it’s marked as an 2003 tacoma service manual 2wd 4wd 2.4 2.7 and 3.4 im satisfied, i printed each section and bought a 4inch binder gonna need another 4 inch binder lol

    I have the paper Toyota FSM version for my '98 and I always find myself using the online indexed version more, it's so much easier to navigate.
