Yeah I was waiting to order them on a Black Friday or Christmas sale but since Allpro is moving their shop to SoCal I guess they didn't do any sales this year. Hopefully they have a sale sometime soon and get some in stock.

Hey Jordan, I dig you build man! I’m also in Arizona and would love to check out your truck. I’m going to do something similar with the rack but I’m looking to use a rack from a 4runner..and get another smittybilt one for on top of the camper, I’m wondering if you could tell me how you secured the rack to the camper? Did you use rivetnuts? I’ve never used them on fiberglass..never seen anyone do it either. Thanks man!!

I’m an idiot. I didn’t see I already commented lol. Can you take a picture of how you bolted it through the cap?

I'm out of town for a few more days but I'll try to get some pics of the inside of the cap. Basically I just ran bolts through the cap and made a steel backing plate for the inside with lock nuts.

I forgot to take a picture of the roofrack mounts for the cap but I took a short trail ride with my friend around Prescott as soon as I got back because we got a little bit of snow.

this looks awesome man. That red grows on me more and more, makes me wish I got a red truck, haha. you heard out of all pro about skids? I might email them again. I sent one before Christmas, they said that they would be back in stock on new years, haven't seen anything yet.

I called early last week and they said they were still about a week out. I'm gonna call tomorrow and check. Also, gonna order some bump stops... can't decide between timbrens or just a universal for the rear. One of my stock bumps fell off so anything is better than that!

Here is a picture of the cap mounts for the roofrack. I just used a piece of 2 inch flat steel (I think 3/16 thick) for the backing plate with the L track on the outside. I put nylock nuts on the inside and sealed everything with silicone when I put the bolts through. Using the L track lets me take the roofrack off without having to unbolt through the cap every time. Once the mounts are bolted to the cap they never have to come off.

Also, I replaced the driver side CV Axle with a re-manufactured unit from the Toyota Dealership since the outer boot tore and was slinging grease everywhere. In Toyota's defense it was my fault that the boot ripped. I was trying to drill out a broken bolt on the brake shields up front and the plastic chuck of the drill was rubbing against the boot. I didn't know it at the time but it wore the boot thin in one spot and it eventually split. I was going to just do the boots but they cost $70 and the re-man unit was only $160 once I return the old core so I went with that. A new or re-man unit from an autoparts store was out of the question because I haven't heard anything good about aftermarket CVs for Tacomas. I might replace the other side in the near future since the boots are starting to get small cracks from dry rot in them.

I called earlier this week and this is the third week in a row where I called in and they told me they will have their skid plates back in stock "next week". If I can't order them soon I'm gonna be looking into other brands... but since their skid plates work best with their bumpers I would rather buy from them. I think google says they are permanently closed because they never updated their address to the new socal location. I haven't been hearing good things about them lately either though. I haven't had any bad experiences with them yet other than recently as I have been trying to order these skid plates for almost two months now. :annoyed:

    Same here.

I love the apex bumper and had great support with it. I tried calling them 4 or 5 times today and never got through. straight to answering machine. I emailed before thanksgiving I believe and the told me 3 weeks. I would like to stick to their products as well but if this continues, i’ll start looking for other companies too.

I saw a video about them today that was uploaded earlier. There’s a link to thread about it. I can link it here if you’d like to check it out too. I’ll keep trying and let you know if I hear anything.

That is interesting. I really hope they get their issues resolved and make it right by their customers so business can resume as usual. I've ordered several things from them in the past like I said and never had an issue.
