Hello Tacoma World! New member here and I've had my 2001 DC for about a year and half now and loving it! The rear springs on my truck are completely shot so I decided to upgrade to full OME suspension. The thing is I'm not really looking for a major lift, more of a suspension "refresh" with a very mild lift since I'm staying stock tire size, and I barely off road. My plan is it go with ome 880 front coils with a drivers side trim packer (got the lean) and Dakar rear springs. From calling around and searching on this site, the 880's should give me roughly 1 inch of front lift on my double cab v6 which would be perfect. Does that sound about right to you guys?

My main question though is about the Dakar rear springs. 2.25 of lift is way more than I want so I plan on removing a leaf to drop the rear more in line with the front. The answer that I can't seem to find from searching is how much does the dakar rear leafs lift on a DC if I remove a leaf, and also which leaf should I remove? I understand ARB recommends removing the third leaf down, but I've also read people like the remove the larger overload leaf. Which one would you guys recommend me removing with 880's up front? My bed is set up with a Truck Covers USA retractable tonneau cover that adds about 150lbs of constant weight, and 95% of my driving is with less than 200lbs total in/on the bed. A few times year I take trips which may add an additional 300lb to the bed, but other than that I don't really keep anything back there. I'm leaning towards removing the overload since I rarely carry loads, and I want to keep the main spring pack intact to help combat axle wrap which is a major issue on my truck. What would you guys suggest I do? Remove the overload or the 3rd spring down? And roughly how much lower will the rear be depending on which spring I end up removing? Also I do want some F-R rake, just not something crazy.

    Thanks!
