2001 parta

I am repainting the tailgate on my 2001. the raised chrome lettering is no longer available. Does anyone have any suggestions? It has TOYOTA, TACOMA, and SR5.

I would like the stock original chrome emblems. since they are no longer available from toyota, does anyone know where I can get vinyl decals that are close to stock?

 

Have you checked ebay? There seem to be some choices that you might be able to work with.

 

I just bought some of the chrome emblems for my 96 4runner which uses pretty much the same ones (except for the Tacoma one obviously), I had no trouble finding them on eBay and Amazon. I think a few of them were knockoffs but you can't tell by looking at them.

 

Or try local pick and pulls. Even the 5-lug trucks will have the Toyota and Tacoma emblems on them, and usually people leave those be, as they're there for more costly items. I scored a few for my truck that way

 

Did you lose yours? Could rechrome them. I'm starting on a restoration on my truck. Can't decide if I'm going to remind them all or color them an offset color.
