Went to go buy some door speakers for my new head unit and don't know what size. I have been told they are 6.5 but could be 6x8? How can this be? They said I have to pull my door panel off to make sure. Why would Toyota make 2 different sizes? Its an SR5 if it makes a difference with a tweeter.

2002 Toyota Tacoma SR5 TRD 3.4L 4X4 V6

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.

They are 6x8's up front and none in the rear according to this: http://www.customtacos.com/tech/index.php?article=39

I still suggest a nice set of 6.5's components or coax > 6x8's...I am a round > oval speaker type.
