2001 Tacoma 4X/Auto/Dbl-Cab Flat Towing project is DONE

Taco Flat Tow project is done and works great. I took a while to get everything set up but well worth it. Tows nicely stops nicely with the (Invisabrake) system. A little pricey but well worth it in the long run.

Driveline disconnect: $850
New (used) drive shaft (from junkyard):$200
Drive line modified/rebuilt/balanced at drive shaft shop :$500
Installation: Free: a couple weekends and lot of beer.
Total: $1550

Invisabrake: $900

I'm totally satisficed with the way everything turned out.
The truck still rides smooth just as before.

 

That's so cool. Would love a setup like this for traveling across the country
