Just wanted to get an idea of what my 01 DC 4x4 is worth. It is in pretty good condition overall. I have done a ton of work to this thing since I have bought it just 3 years ago. New water pump, thermostat, timing belt and pulleys, new brake and power steering lines, both rear wheel bearings/axle seals, new suspension (Bilsteins, Toytec coils and Allpro spings), full skidplates, custom roofrack, and EVEN A NEW ENGINE only 5000 miles or so after I bought the dang thing (currently has 30,000 miles on the engine). It was installed by a local reputable shop and I have receipts for pretty much everything. I estimate that I have well over $15,000 into it not including the price of the truck. I know I cant expect to ever see that money again and spending it was my own fault . The body is in good shape and pretty much rust free...

The bad news is the truck spent about 15 years in Pennsylvania and the frame does have some rust that had to be repaired and the entire rear axle was actually replaced because the old one had rusted through on the diff cover. The rear shock mount was rusted very badly but has since been plated and reinforced with a new mount. The rest of the frame is in solid condition with no holes, cracks or even soft spots to be found.

I have A TON of "overland" goodies that I think I would just sell with the truck. Rooftop tent, maxtrax, water port, bedrack and ARE cap, ARB awning, Plano case, Rotopax 4 gal, and so on. Looking for some opinions on what it is worth with everything included. The first three pictures are of the truck currently with the bedrack. The cap pictures are from a few months ago before I painted the grill and a few other things. 178,000 miles (30k on engine) with a clean title in hand. Blue book value is around $7,000 but I will drive this thing into the ground before I let it go for that. I know I will have to wait for the right buyer but just seeing some opinions first.

Heres the frame repair... trying to be as open as possible. I believe the frame is fine now... far from rust free but certainly solid.

Let me know what you guys/gals would offer if you were going to buy this truck!

Mechanical 8/10 (everything works as it should)

Body/Paint 7/10 (some light pinstriping and small scratches, one touch up area on bed corner that is noticeable, one small tailgate dent less than quarter in size)

Frame 6/10 (rust is present and has been repaired in one area, currently solid with no cracks, holes or soft spots anywhere else)

Interior 8/10 (no tears or stains, seat plastic on drivers side is cracked but the reinforcement plate was added to prevent further damage)

    Looks good..
Frame is a gamble though. I deal with corrosion on army aircraft and its no joke no matter how well you clean it up. With that being said always start high.. maybe ask 13k obo. At least youre an honest seller and put down alot of good important info.

I’m guessing you’ll get $12k offers or less, just being honest. The frame is the biggest issue, scares the hell out of buyers.

If you’re selling everything together, I’d take off all the overland parts and sell them separate. Someone buying the truck will just want you to throw all that stuff in for free.

    Looks really clean!

Awareness of the frame rust for potential buyers is key but it looks like you have kept up with the maint.

Any interest in trading for a 3rd gen dcsb and payments? I would love to bring her back to PA.

I may end up getting a 3rd gen DCSB to replace it but Im not quite ready yet... If I did I would hold out for the new Army Green color in a TRD Offroad I think.

I will be posting it for sale within the next 6 months to a year... not set on the price yet plus the market may change in the next year. I will be posting it on TW though so if interested keep an eye out!

I actually put some in recently with a fluid/filter change... seems to have helped a lot. Still not 100% but much better.

Edit: It was Sea-foam Transmission treatment not Lucas.
