Well my nice new 2008 Tacoma TRD OR Doublecab was rear ended over a week ago and is now a total loss. The insurance should be giving me a fat check so life will go on but now I need to find a replacement...

I see a 2001 Tacoma with the TRD supercharger for sale and I was wondering what kind of MPG's you get with the supercharger. Is it worth it to have the supercharger on the truck? Thoughts and opinions appreciated. This 2001 only has 45K original miles so seems like a decent truck and the monthly payments would be half of what I was paying for the 2008.

    Help a brother out...thanks!

I totally forgot my camera when I went to reclaim my personal property along with the tie down cleats, trd floormats, anyways if you could imagine the rear bumper bent down facing towards the ground and the frame bent upwards that's what she looked like...

I ended up buying the 2001 double cab with 2.5inch lift, BFG's, grill guard, topper, SUPERCHARGER, and after market stereo...one stop shopping...

I will get some pics up when I get back from my work trip and after Yarmonygrass in Copper Mtn., CO this weekend. It's a freakin' dream to drive! I like it way more than my '08!

    hasta!

    Hey

sorry to hear about the total on your 08. I have a 2001 and just put a supercharger on it. The first 100 miles I experience erratic fuel consumption, but it soon leveled out. I get just over 250 miles per tank, and I use 93 octane fuel. I used to get about 300 miles per tank. I believe the tank is 17 gallons. The supercharger definitely adds performance, and you might consider the 7th injector kit for it from urd. I think its worth it in my opinion.
