I have a 2001 Tacoma (3.4 liter, auto trans) that we recently purchased. It was running fine, all of a sudden the engine sputtered, check engine light came on and the truck died. The engine will spin over but not start. The CEL is still on but no codes when checked by Auto Zone and Oreilly Auto Parts. I even jumped the pins in the diagnostic connector but no codes were flashed. I do hear the fuel pump when cranking. I have checked the cam and crank sensors and they are reading within specs. I sprayed a small amount of starting fluid to it and it did not try to start. This tells me I'm not getting a spark. Any ideas?

Lights, 3in lift, tires/ wheels, being awesome
So you have fuel pressure? You can check for spark with a spark tester or you can do it the dangerous way and pull the coil with the plug still in it and set so it wont touch anything then crank it and look for any spark.
