My pads and rotors seem fine, but the caliper guide pins are rusty. I can get those at Rockauto, what else do I need to replace to get the pads sliding nice?

    These are the pins:

Use some fine steel wool to clean the pins and save yourself some money.

Some rust on the guide pins is normal and usually won't hurt anything. Maybe just wait until you need new pads, then do the pins, clips, and pads in one shot.

Are you having an issue with uneven pad wear due to the pads not sliding on the pins like they should? Then I'd just replace and grease the guide pins with a brake specific grease (other greases will melt and affect braking). Also, if there's an issue with uneven pad wear, sometimes its the caliper pistons that are seized.

My guide pins are pitted, I cleaned them but they are still rough, what other small parts are likely to cause issues with brake wear?

    I'll replace the guide pins.

The calipers are not that old, so are the pistons likely to be seized? Can they be freed up or do I need new calipers?

I do have uneven wear on the rotors, the pads are not hitting the rotors squarely.

    Thanks,
    Don

Pitted, are they? Then you did right by replacing them.
