2002, V6, four door, 4WD. vent air only comes out on left and right vents, not defrost or center. Mechanic has told me repair cots depends largely on ability to get to vent actuators without pulling dash. Question, can vent actuators be accessed without pulling dash?

Pulling the dash is not too bad of a DIY job. Pretty simple.

check the passenger side area behind the radio.

    open passenger door
look at where the carpet meets the dash
I hope that is what you're looking for.
