This is a great build, lots of cool fab work and great ideas here. I was checking out your front axle and wondering about how you set it up. Are you running and IFS hub setup with a spacer to match a Tacoma width rear axle? If you are is the increased scrub radius a problem for you? I am thinking about running this setup on my current build and just wondered if you have any insights on matching the Tacoma width rear.

I ran the exact setup your talking about (83 stock width housing, ifs hubs with fror mount for Tacoma brakes and 1.25 spacers). Mines an extra cab and the trucks are long. Toyota axles have notorious bad turning radius but it’s doable. Driving around town is doable. And I daily’d mine for years like that. With that said there’s nothing wrong with the turning radius and more than manageable.

Yes ifs hub swap and 1.25 spacers, truck drives stupid good. Pay attention to link geometry and all will fall into place! Thanks for the kind words

Definitely not the baddest but it is exactly the build I wanted, low and great road manners but also capable of hitting a back road or two

The 1st Gen: All pro 3” lift (650 lbs coils, expedition rears with bilstiens),Timbren rear bumpstops, ubolt flip, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 33’s on beadlocks ,ARB Bumper, winch, hand throttle, ARE canopy, roof bars, poly bushings all around minus the body mounts. The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s
Love this build. Will definitely be taking inspiration for my eventual SAS. I don’t want mine to get too high when it gets SAS’d

Definitely one of the cleanest SAS builds to date. Well thought out and fantastic fab work! I just got done boxing my rear end and fixing more frame rot (hopefully for good!) and I know how much work just that was this past month! Really like how you kept it a bit lower by notching the frame up front, thats my biggest gripe about the look of 1st gen sas builds... always a bit hot wheels you know?! Keep it up!

Truck did so good banging limiter at 10lbs boost!!! So much fun! Problem is I went to grab 3rd gear and it isn’t there, then later on in day I power shift to 4th and it’s gone now? It never did grind and still doesn’t when it in the gear. What would cause this? Shift fork? Never been inside a tranny. W56 b series

Got the tranny out and decided to split it, wasn’t bad at all. Found the culprit, a broken shift fork! Got one on order

First time I’ve seen this happen! Not quite sure what woulda caused this, new coils on order and going with a different rate this time. Only thing I can think of is the crossover was causing coil bind. I am going with 150/175 rate which will Allow me to keep the crossover Higher on shock.

Is it rusted? It looks like a defect that might have finally gave way.
