Well I think I did OK but around here they just sell high. I'm in Huntsville Ala and the job market is decent compared to other areas.

As far as KBB it's lower than NADA which is what the banks loan on. I got mine for the loan price in NADA.

    It's a 2003, 2.7, 5 sp, SR5 but non TRD 4X4 with 63000 miles on it for $12500.

I thought it was a decent price. Dealer had one with 95k miles for $15500 firm.

Let me know what you think.

I also have an '01 DoubleCab 4x4 TRD Limited with 70K miles. It has a 3" lift, new aftermarket wheels, 33" BFG ATs, Viper Remote Start/Keyless Entry, etc. My Toyota dealer said they'd give me at least $11K in TRADE. I figure I could get a lot more than that on a private party sale. I'm with you, I might part with mine for $16-$17K. These trucks are hard to find...

I think he is in the ballpark, I paid 16k for my 02 xcab 4x4 with 54,000miles about 2yrs ago and looked to trade a couple months ago and was offered 10k with around 90,000miles on it now. Tacomas are hard to come by around here and are always top dollar.

I don't know, prices fluctuate. I bought my 2001 Extra cab TRD SR5 4x4 in mint condition with 40K on it in 04 for $15K flat. It was a smoking deal. I know it was awhile ago but just putting the info in here

I may have to post some pics of mine and see "what someone thinks its worth..." No dings, dents and the fire engine red paint has probably 30 coats of Zaino...everyone says it looks like it just rolled out of the assembly plant..chrome is still pristine...added some graphics on the side to add to the "pop" factor..I've got a company car that covers the majority of my transportation needs and "Red" pretty much sets in the garage...I may part with it to pay down debt if I could get $17K or so. Of course, if you put it in the classifieds, you'll get the standard line of "I could get a used Chevy or Ford for half of that...." Yep, and all of the maintenance and low value that goes with it...When I had it in for the frame replacement, I requested that they give me a list of any components that were in need of replacement while they had it apart (timing chain, exhaust, etc) Apparently, everything was in "new" condition according to the tech who did the work and he only snapped one bolt during the entire retrofit process..and this was a 9 year old truck..Haven't had a bit of problems since then..

$17K for an 01 seems high. I could be wrong though

Just bought an 02 with 77k miles, regular cab 4x4 4cyl. Absolutely mint truck with no dents or scratches or door dings.

Bought it from the dealer for $8800.

Keep looking around, I wouldn't settle until you find the exact right one for you.

    Yeah it is.

I could have bought the following for $17,000 and it was only 40 miles away.

A RED, 2004 SR5, TRD, 4X4, XCAB, with 64k miles with, v6, auto, all power, leather seats front and rear ($1500), LINE-X (500) and a rollnlock rear cover ($1000). As you can see the last three options add at least $3000 of real value to the truck. Making it only $14,000.

But I bought what I did because I wanted the 2.7 and 5 speed and I had to fly up and drive it back.

I still think about the other one.

Ain't that the truth. I overpaid for my truck. I wanted it and they are so damn hard to come by with low miles and in great shape. If you want it and plan on keeping it for a long time a grand or something too much, won't matter all that much. At least that is what I told myself. I am very happy and am never going to look back.

    Thats right.

Whatever you paid, if the truck is used, you got it for alot less than a new one.

They are hard to find with low mileage and taken care of.
