I'll be painting the bumper black, when I'm finished with all the welding. The stainless plate will stay the same color, just buffed.

Replaced the uniballs in the upper control, unfortunately that didn't fix my sticking problem.

So I found a good deal on some F67's and Fox 16" coil overs without the coils. I was thinking I could run the deavers for now with the fox coil overs as smooth bodies until I have enough time/money for trailing arms. What do you guys think.

Got some Grade 8 cams, really been needing these. The washers are crazy, they are like 1/4" thick.
    IMAG0164.jpg
Unfortunately they don't have hash marks, but it'll be a hell of a lot better than just bolts and washers.

Those bad boys are suppose to be about that thick. I was scared to buy aftermarket ones myself. I got some stock ones off a 4Runner that was being parted out. Seeing how they adjust these, they don't use the hash marks, but rather just look at the alignments computer screen. So I'd say you should be alright.

Yeah, I've become acquainted with my local alignment shop and they like my truck, they let me in the shop and help them with the work, before I just had some grade 10 bolts and washers that didn't even fit between the cams.

I'm also thinking this could be one of the reasons my front is still sticking, because the washers don't fit I crank down the bolts really tight so they don't move. I think that this might be causing the bushings to mushroom inside the sleeves making it to not want to move.

I'm pretty chummy with my local shop too. Might definitely be one of the problems. I know you got the Long travel arms but for stock you only torque those bad boys down to 96 ft lbs. Also when you tighten them, do you do it while its jacked up or on the ground? They recommend to leave them loose and then put the truck down to tighten to specs. That goes for both the UCA and LCA. Just throwing that out there in case. You seem like you know what your doing but sometimes its those little things ya know. Do you have zerks for any of the bushings?

I actually don't torque them while the truck in on the ground, and I was torquing the grade 10's to 200 ft lbs cause that's the spec for those size grade 10's. And yes I have zerks and just shot them with grease on Tuesday.

That might be part of the issue. When you tighten them down at full droop the bushings are then fixed in that position, and in turn are under stress when just going to where the truck sits normal and even more if your stuffing the tire. If you tighten them while sitting on the ground then there under less stress when going up and down. This is sort of how it was explained to me. I'm sure the guy who told me sounded a lot smarter than the shit I just spewed out, but if you do get what I'm trying to say then maybe that will help...maybe?

No it makes perfect sense, the bushings articulate and while articulating become stressed and then when returned to there original position leaves it with room to move before it starts to stress again, I have it In a position where it under stress constantly and then going even further towards full bump causes even more stress and in turn causes massive stiction because the springs are more relaxed, opposed to being full bump with that amount of stiction where the springs have enough force to put it back to ride height where the bushing are not under stress... Something like that, it sounds good in my head.

Got the front cams on, couldn't get the rear ones cause I have to remove the steering rack, will do that when the new rack bushings come in.

You don't have to take the whole steering rack off. If you remove the two main bolts on the passenger side and the main one on the drivers side it should give you enough wiggle room if you turn the steering wheel all the way over and push it up and slide that cam bolt in and out. Its good to have one guy pushing up on the steering rack and another to work the bolt. I have a bit of a write up with some pics on my 1996 build page if that helps.
