Just signed up for the autocross event coming up this weekend..

They are having a competition day only this month at the new venue and this seems to have brought a few more folks out to compete, as I just saw the entry list and there are actually 3 other entries in the STX class at this time.

One entry is a previous class winner in a modified FRS that may be really tough to beat, and it looks like two co-drivers in a modified 05 BMW 3 series that Trudy will be up against.

Trudy may not be the fastest machine on paper by any means, but rest assured I will be doing everything I can in this little truck in hopes to make the world of Tacomas proud!!

    Wish us luck fellow citizens!

Hell yeah! I've got our "big" event coming up this weekend as well. Close to a mile and a half or so long course on the old air force base long since decommissioned. Going to take it up there and leave what's left of my RT660's out there.

Our normal venue we usually do just shy of a full mile. Somewhere in the .8 range. That's why I can't complain about "only" getting 9-12 runs each day at our events. The event this weekend is what we call our "mega" autocross due the the sheer size of real estate we have to work with. Sadly it's a very long drive away for everybody so we only do it once a year.

The FIRM in Florida is relatively close, and I'd be willing to drive the distance for a track day every once in a while. Only downside is their website states "NO SUVs or Trucks". I sent them an email to inquire since my truck is hardly a truck anymore. Lol. May be a stupid question, but maybe they'll make an exception for me :D

Sometimes some persuasive videos of autocross days and your level of experience help.

The truck is still quite a ways off from being road course ready. They don't allow windshield cracks, (mine has had one all the way across the bottom of the windshield since like 2011) and NO fluid leaks. Which means I should probably pull the trans and put a rear main seal in it...

Nice shot! do the wheels rub? can you go wider or does that put you in a different class?

What are you wheel specs? diam, width, offset? What tires are you running?

Headed to my clubs "mega" autocross tomorrow morning. Wife surprised me by making me some custom number magnets for the Tacoma.

X Runner wheels? Do you have to disconnect drive shaft when you tow it?

Very clean single cab. What is your current set up for auto cross? Been going back and forth if I want to do QA1 coils or the traditional lowering kit.

X-runner wheels are my street tires, I left the driveshaft connected and in neutral since it's a real PITA to get under the truck when it's this low. I run 295/40/18's on some 10.5 inch vorrsten knock offs.
