    2002 Tacoma 3.4l
    Hello!

New on here. I have a 2wd 2002 Tacoma V6 3.4l with approximately 144kmi on it and a mechanic just told me the head gasket is about to go. I have coolant in the oil and is blowing white smoke out the tail pipe and I am not sure what the best thing to do to it. I know I want to keep it, but should I take it to a mechanic? Try to do it myself? I was wondering if anyone had an experience in this? and if they went the mechanic route about what price range is reasonable so I know I am not getting ripped off?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sam
