    I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4D I am looking to throw a Fabtech 6” Lift Kit.

If down the road I wanted to throw in a long travel kit will it be able to mount to lift kit.

Also if possible what is some kits I could run on a Fabetch 6”. Price ranges?? The high end, budget build, etc. need help getting familiarized how it works.

That's an one or the other mod. Either do long travel, or do 6" lift. Doing both is a recipe for disaster. Something to remember about it, is you still get some lift by goin LT.

By the time you spend the money on a 6" drop bracket lift AND long travel, you may as well look into a solid axle swap. It seems that you're going for mostly the look of a Tacoma that has been lifted way too much and that will get you there.

I was just trying to see the possibility of running a long travel kit with ifs lift kit.

But now the next question if I picked up a 91-97 fzj80 front axle with high pinon will it work for my vehicle??

    What all would I need?

Originally I wanted a SAS build,

but then I got different views on ifs and long travel styles lifts. And didn’t know what they had to offer so I was just seeing how those worked. Because the cost of both builds is similar.

Overall I just want a overland truck that can go places not every truck can. So I’m currently leaning towards SAS appreciate the help I was just seeing what those other suspensions had to offer.

Honestly you are so out of your league that you should probably consult a shop for a full build or figure out what you really want to do, and do research..

    4 run, 2 don't
The 6" lift kit you're referring to is for aesthetics.

If you want something even more functional, you don't even need to venture as far as long travel yet; high end parts don't equal a professional off-roader.

A good setup such as OME Nitrochargers/Dakar's all around will get you some clearance and nice off-road manners.

Step up from there would be Deaver's, or other type of leaf springs, depending on your needs, as well as nicer coilovers and rear shocks.

From there, if you want some more travel, you'll opt to get a diff drop kit, upper control arms, rear shock relocation mounts/tabs, and extended traveling shocks.

After that, you're going custom/semi-custom with lower control arms, bypass, etc.

There was a guy who did this on a second gen I believe and he loved it. You technically aren't "stacking" lifts, and he took it wheeling. However, I will say this, you have A LOT of research to do. SAS $10k all day, drop bracket long travel $10k all day, OME $500, but at the end of the day it's your truck and your money and your vision.

The Solo XLT kit will net close to 6” if you push the ride height to its upper range.
