2002 toyota tacoma Lincoln mark 8 fan install

    The thunderbird fans have two speeds, high and low. Low speed can be used while running the a/c, high speed when it needs to cool the engine. I’ve never seen an electric fan for a car pull more cfm than the thunderbird fan. Bench testing it requires two hands to hold it from flipping off the table, plus it will take your hat off of your head. You will also need a 75amp relay for the high speed circuit.

    Damn, I thought I read that the Mark VIII fan was 2 speed, bummer because right next to the Mark VIII that I pulled the fan from was a Thunderbird.

    The dual speed fans have 3 wires at the connector. One will be 12v high, 12v low, and ground. If your fan has 3 wires, it is dual speed.

    Just reading thought that thread, I guess its like youre saying, its a hell of strong fan because theres a guy in there talking about getting his fingers chopped off with photos of the damage. Crazy.
