yakima makes one if you decide oem is a lil too much, my friend had bike racks on his 01 taco xcab (which was an endless source of amusement to me since if he took the stupid tonneau cover off he coulda put em in the back)

yea i was looking at the yakima and the thules but i just think they are to high for my liking. I like the low profile look of the oem and when I need I can just add cross bars when necessary.

Dont you have to drill the roof to fit the OEM ones? The aftermarket ones offer clips you can attach to the drip rail.

after reading up on this, i believe thats the oem rack that only came on the 02 tacos due to low demand. To get this from the factory now you have to get a new roof skin and drill the roof. Toyotas asking something rediculous like 1500 bucks!

yeah, i was pretty amazed. Can't believe they only offered it as an option on the 02's. Look pretty damn good to me. I've found a couple people selling and was wondering if instead of bolting on, i could use some strong adhesive double sided???? I know it wont be as strong as bolting it in but will just be using it for my kayak.
