2002 Toyota Tacoma will crank but won’t start

Recently as I was driving my 2002 Toyota Tacoma 3.4 it had shut off while driving a steady 55mph. After that it wouldn’t start just simply cranked over. It has 320k miles on it so I assumed the fuel pump finally went bad on it. I replaced the fuel pump, lines, filter and relays and the truck still wouldn’t start. I went to change the spark plugs and was still getting a proper spark from the coils so that wasn’t the issue. I also changed the crank position sensor and still have not resolved the issue. Hooked up an OBD 2 and didn’t get any codes.

 

Did you check all the fuses? It could be the IGN fuse, or maybe even the main fuse in the engine bay.

 

Are you sure there is fuel pressure to the injectors?

 

All fuses have been checked and relays have been tested and checked. I am getting fuel to the fuel injectors

 

Compression check. Also, check you maf connection.

 

check the mass air flow sensor. when that goes bad it does the same symptoms cranks but wont start

 

A dead maf/connection can cause a crank no start symptom

 

easy way to check if you have a buddy how has a 3.4 tacoma just swap out the MAF just to check if it will start up. if it does then you has a dead MAF

 

In a crank but no start situation, you have 4 things to check

1.Fuel
2.Air
3.Spark
4.Timing
