Man that was a hard decision. There's another thread on this forum titled "The Skinny on Skinnies". It has me convinced that 255/85/16's are the tire for me.

I really wanted the Dick Cepek's Extreme Country's but no one has them. I even asked my local tire if he would mount them if I bought them online. He said yes but man!! They're on a Nationwide 45 day backorder according to my sources. So ended up going with 285/75/16 Mastercraft MXT's.

The Toyo's were to heavy I thought at 61 pounds and didn't come in that size with a white letter option and I'm not a fan of BFG's.

I've had my eye on the Thunderer trac grip for a while now but I couldn't decide if i wanted mud terrains on a prerunner.... but at $580 for a set at 285/75/16 it's honestly a steal

Yeah I think that's an awesome deal. I'm putting mudders on mine because I am absolutely obsessed with duck hunting. This next season, I will be using my truck to get back to some of my duck holes, which involves driving on some unimproved trails minus over hanging limbs. So I need a mudtire.

I may take it easy on some of that stuff this year as I have just brought my truck back to New but eventually that thing is gonna work for me. Where the trails start to get really rugged with bushes and crap I will stop and unload the 4 wheeler.

I could not be happier with how my truck has turned out!!!!!! For a truck that I've had for 12 years it looks freaking spectacular! The new wheels and tires set it off perfectly!

Special thanks to my dad for painting it for me. Thanks Dad!!!

That's it for a while now. The only other thing I want to do is install a relentless Fab front bumper and winch but I need to replenish the truck project savings.

He is a good dad. I paid him good money for the work. It wasn't entirely free but it was way discounted.

At first I was kind of upset that dad painted my drums red but now I'm kind of digging it .

At least they match the rest of the paint scheme. They'll get dirty and not show as much sooner than later anyway. I would be stoked with such a clean paint job either way - he did a great job on the lines going across the bed sides. That couldn't be a cheap option if you were paying full price!

I think I've been bitten by the mods bug really bad. As such this thread probably needs to be retitled to a build thread.

I need some advice. I'm about to pull the trigger on a front bumper and I'm curious what a good size winch would be.
