I have a 2003 Tacoma, and I'm having some trouble with the dash lights, tail lights, and turn signals. I have a trailer wiring harness hooked up directly through the rear lights. Yesturday i plugged in my lights to the trailer got in the truck and the turn signals, tail lights, and dash lights stopped working completely. The headlights, and brakelights are working as they should. Checked all fused the tail light fuse was bad along with the dash fuse and the turn signal fuse. Replaced them all, then drove it around the block and the turn signal fuse blew again along with the tailight fuse? I'm not sure what to do next. I was thinking the stalk on the steering column for the lights and wipers may have a short in it. Suggestions greatly appreciated?

Could have cooked the tail light converter for the trailer. When we do Toyota's that did not come with a tow package we like to use a separately powered one that has its own fuse block. The factory wiring and fuse set is a bit small to support the additional lighting draw of a trailer.

Try unplugging your tow wiring and going totally stock to see if it still pops.
