I am sure this has been covered before but struggling to find anything via searches etc.

Trying to troubleshoot no reverse lights on 2003. Replaced the switch at transmission (m/t), tried the shorting trick, it doesn't appear to be bulbs and or fuses. All other lights etc. appear to work fine. Can someone help point me in the right direction with maybe next things to check? Also struggling to find an applicable schematic/wiring diagram.

Is there a possibly a relay or other switch somewhere I am missing?

Doesn't seem like it should be that difficult...

    Thanks!

Not home at the moment but there is a bunch of YouTube videos on the switch at the trans. I will post a link in a bit if you don’t find it…

Check the grounds. You can measure 12v at the socket and have good bulbs but they still won't work with a poor ground connection.

If the other lights on the tail light work, it is not the ground connection.
All the lights in the tail light use the same ground.

You need to check for power at the Red/Black wire (pin 5) on the taillight connector.
    Which is pin #5

you could also check for power on pin 2 (Black/Red at the Backup switch)

Yep, everything else appears to work so this would be the thing to check for sure.

    Thank you!
