I bought a used 2003 Taco last year. The driver side door power window was is catching as it went up and I heard a rattle in driver side door when I shut the door. I took the door panel off and on the bottom of the door was what looks like a bracket that had a metal tab that was bent and slightly damaged. With the door panel off I could clearly see that the window was able to move and jump out of the front guide which was causing the sticking when trying to put the window up. Does anyone have instructions on how to put the detached bracket back in place? What screws etc.? The bracket's metal tabs look like they could be bent back into place. Thanks.

Pictures are a great help !

Is the window hardware rusted and that caused it to break or come loose ??

Thats a great question. So...I went outside with the Left side or driver side rear window bracket. I was able to fit it in place and insert the rubber lining for the window track. However it appears that the metal tabs that stick are bent slightly. Also I don't have the hardware as far screws or washers to install and secure back in place. Do you happen to have an image of the undamaged window bracket. Without the bracket the window can jump out of the guide and get stuck. That was what was causing the problem. Sorry but I am on a learning curve with this particle issue. The window regulator works fine otherwise.
As soon as put the window back on track it works great but I have to secure the rear bracket or will keep coming out. I will try to post a photo of the bracket. I assume anyone with experience with Taco door issues will know exactly what I am talking about.

If your hardware vibrated out look for it laying in the bottom of the door.

Most likely M6x1.00 as a guess.

Yes I looked for the hardware in door but couldn't find any. Regardless, I went to Toyota dealer
today and he ordered some replacements. It seems like I should just be able to bolt it back in place.
However the parts rep said he thought that was welded in place. I don't think so but any thoughts
    would be appreciated.

That is why I asked if it rusted and broke.

I guess you will find out when the parts come.

I know some of my mid eighties were spot welded and broke .

I guess you could drill holes and put bolts through the door like I did on my 4Runner

No I haven't BUT I checked out a video about Lock Acuator replacement and now
I know where I am with this. The bracket "channel guide" broke off at the top where it was bolted to the
door frame. I examined that area found the attachment piece that was still bolted in place. So...
the bracket needs the attachment piece welded or bolted back to the bracket guide channel and we
should be good. It has been a learning curve.
