Okay first thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I'm looking at getting new leaf springs, looking at a few sets and I keep coming back to deavers 8 pack (J59). But from what I have read springs are meant for Baja type of trekking and not really setup for hauling.

So my questions is does any one know if deavers leaf spring will be a nice setup with a camper and probably about 300 pounds of equipment.

    Thanks for any input.

Forgot mention its a double cab

For what it is worth I run the stock Heavy Duty Springs and Super Springs.

Now this set up is for hauling but it gives a decent ride when empty as well.

800 to 1000 pounds is a common payload with as much as 2000 pounds not that I would recommend doing that on a regular basis.

It has been a few years and I am very happy.

    After much research.

hear is what I'm looking at

General springs their heavy duty set - http://www.generalspringkc.com/Sear...arch=tacoma+2004&show=20&page=1&f-Tacoma=2202

All pro expedition leaf spring - Dakar rear leaf (really like the price)- as for shocks I'm on the fence during my search I found bilstein 4600 HD for 260 dollars for all 4 shocks.

Let me know what you think? thanks in advance for any input.

This the reason for a leaf springs - Nothing in the bed except for the Leer camper. i'm afraid they will snap any minute.

    Meant to thank you earlier.

Have a question did the leafs you mentioned lift the rear of the truck?

    Thanks again

Just finished ordering Alcon leaf springs. Now I just need the GB to finish so I can order the suspension. I have decided to go with Fox factory suspension 0-1inch lift front and back.

Leaf springs are only half the equation, you need some strong heavier duty shocks too.

I would suggest a 2.0 with resi from any of the major companies, having it tuned and valved for the added weight and height is key.

This is what I'm looking at getting.
    Front : http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?...ks&year=2004-1995&position=Front&m=truck&p=10
    or
    http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?...ks&year=2004-1995&position=Front&m=truck&p=31

Depending on the discount will get on the group buy.

    Rear: http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?...ocks&year=2004-1995&position=Rear&m=truck&p=3

Leaf springs I ordered from alcon requested was: 1inch lift, 200Ilbs(second guessing this now) in the bed with and trailer with 200Ibs tongue weight.
