I have a 2003 tacoma. The driver side window stopped working abruptly after i rolled it down after work. Got home wouldn't roll up. I pulled the master switch and took the circuit board out. All the other windows still function properly when i slide the switches forward and back. I can hear clicking sounds from the switch as if power is being sent to it to operate. But no function.
Prior to this there has been zero lag or malfunction with this window.
Before I order a master switch. Is there a way to know if it's in fact just the switch?
I wouldn't think the motor would just work properly and tgen BAM cease function all together right?

try holding the switch in the up position and slamming the door... might be just enough the have the brushes on the motor jar enough to get her to work.

Break out the Multi Meter simple to ring out a disconnected switch

Measure Voltage on a live switch

Since the drivers window tends to be used more often the contacts do wear faster.

also possible to test the window motor by unplugging the connector applying battery voltage and ground reverse wires to change directions

I seem to be having the same issue with my 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Have you found a resolution to this issue? For me moving the wiring harness around sometimes makes it work again. Taking the harness off you can see one pin has black coloration on it, I believe that it may be short but I don't know if I can buy a new harness or something. If you see this message please get back to me.
