I was looking to purchase a 2002 camry with my girlfriend and we test drove it a bit, it seemed okay.
From a stop I told her to floor the gas pedal and the transmission slipped in 2nd or 3rd gear and car shutdown and went into 'safe' mode.
Seller's face turned bright red. He was likely using some temporary Stop Slips transmission fluid to keep the transmission from slipping until he sold it..

Like I said, the Alaska Cunsumor protection act covers us under this misleading information being that she was deceitful.

Unless your really into Toyota 4x4 `s most likely you would have no clue about the frame issues .

put truck nuts on my 2000 Ranger
Mine got a new frame put on by the dealer it was bought new from in 03. They knocked a hole in the frame with a hammer when they were inspecting it! They said that they wouldn't have replaced it for free if we would've waited 14 more days to have it inspected because I guess the frame warranty expires after 15 years!

I spent about $900 and a few weekends of labor to get mine patched up with Safe-T-Caps - all DIY. Very happy with the outcome.
