I was wondering if anyone knows what rear axle with a 3.58 gear ratio and ABS is compatible with my 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4X2 SR5 DLX 4 cyl 2.4L Manual tran. I can't find any and my pumpkin and differential housing has sever rust. My pinion seal is leaking and I would like to replace the entire axle instead of having to replace it in the future. Thanks again for any info you can provide

If your talking about a 5 lug it should be pretty universal. Most were 4 cyl/ 5 spd. ABS after '01 or so.

So would a 2004 reg cab axle work with my Xtra cab like what's shown in your truck pic?

Then no, you couldn't easily swap out with me.
Just for reference, They're set up differenly (5 vs. 6 lug) and I have no ABS front nor rear.

If you really want bolt in replacement you will have to look harder. ABS was optional for a lot of 1st gens and front ABS was even for a few years. Find out if yours is indeed rear ABS (wires to the rear brakes) and expand your search.

You'll be looking at 2001-2004 I would think if you need rear ABS. If you've been looking in junk yards, they already know what interchanges.

Here's the bad news: Look for a wrecked one that isn't more worn out/rusted than the one you have. Most 5 luggers get driven into the ground with little maintenance performed. W/O knowing your location, no one can direct you to one that may be known close by. Someone on here may even have one stashed away that they didn't use. Fill out your profile completely, it's really handy in these exact kind of cases.

Advertise in parts wanted. Also, you can try Toyota Nation sub forum Tacoma and other tacoma forums....you'll prob. pick one up fairly local with enough diligence. Good Luck.

Thanks John, I really appreciate the words of wisdom. I'll keep looking and if you run across one let me know.
