My truck is riding sluggish. I replaced the spark plugs and the ignition coil in the first socket the boot was cracked. I'm not sure what to check for next. It starts up fine but when I drive it sort of feels like I'm driving up a steep hill. I also reset the code after I did the spark plugs to see if it would come back on but it hasn't but still riding the same.

P0301 is a missfire in cyl 1. You stated you replaced spark plugs and a coil for the first cylinder(the one closest to the front of the vehicle/radiator is cyl 1).
I would now recommend swapping fuel injectors around and see if the missfire will follow the injector (for example swap cyl 1 fuel injector with cyl 2 and see if your missfire will follow to cyl 2)...if your missfire stays in cyl 1 injector is fine.....next step would be to check for compression. parts store rent out the compression test kit that you screw into your spark plug hole and crank the engine with the fuel pump relay out to not flood the cylinder. Check compression of all 4 cylinders and compare the compression results.
