just lay on the ground and take a picture in line with the leaf springs, no need to get it up in the air. it's actually better to take a pic when you are on the ground to get a better idea of how they sit

also I'll post this for reference: https://www.generalspringkc.com/leaf-springs/toyota/tacoma/2001-2004-toyota-tacoma-leaf-springs/

many people have these as replacements and love them. for lifting you would still want to get an AAL

A leaf pack isn't all that expensive.

You can go with a factory-style replacement from General Springs as a lot of people have used them with success.

General Springs offers an HD variant meant for carrying a constant load IE camper shell, tools, etc. This leaf pack can net roughly a 1" lift over stock depending on the amount of weight carried in the rear.

Then you've the OME Dakar Leaf pack, which will net you between 2.25-2.75" of lift over stock depending on the amount of weight carried in the back.

From there you've got Alcan and Deaver's offerings which aren't cheap, but highly rated for their flexibility.

After that, you've got custom leaf packs which are specifically tailored to your use, while retaining the great flex capability needed for off road.

The above suggestions are listed from cheapest to most expensive.

You just need a picture, sitting level with the truck, facing the leaf pack.

Top and bottom shots don't tell the angle at which the leaf pack sits at.

Here's an example on a completely random vehicle -

But really, if your truck is stock, it's safe to assume that leaf pack hasn't been replaced which means it's been long due for a new leaf pack.
