Did these Tacomas come with a security system or is mine an add in? It went haywire yesterday and I would like to disconnect it. Has anyone else had this problem? Can I just pull a fuse?

I'd be interested too. I have a security/remote start on mine and I hate it. Can't figure it out.

Some vehicles came with either a factory or dealer installed Toyota security system- RS3200 if I recall. Some vehicles might even have the RS module installed, but not active or paired with a fob. Most of the time though, you'll be looking at an aftermarket alarm. You really just gotta take a peek under the steering wheel / drivers side kick panel and look at what you have. If you see wire taps or splices, it's aftermarket. No good guide or process to follow to remove them other than disconnecting the battery, and just start tracing the wires back to the security module and maliciously removing all of it- restoring the wires back to their original factory configuration. If it's an RS system, you might have good luck pairing it to a new fob...

all 03-04 vehicles came with the RS3200 keyless entry system, but as mentioned it may or may not have been setup as the "T-VIP" security system or keyless entry. searching up the "free TVIP" upgrade may yeild what you are looking for. the module can be uninstalled fairly easily...
