I am looking to buy the CXRacing turbo kit for my 5vz-fe Tacoma. I know I need an upgraded fuel system to support the turbo and I came across the URD supercharger kit that includes:
Six new 310cc Lucas fuel injectors, modified to fit the 3.4 fuel rail and intake manifold
Six wire harness adapter plugs, direct plug-in, no splicing
Six 2 steps cooler Denso Power Iridium spark plugs
High Flow in-tank fuel pump with install kit
URD Performance Calibration Unit with built-in part throttle boost enrichment module
Restrictor T fitting and nylon vacuum line for connecting the URD PCU to the supercharger
    Tuning software
    Vehicle specific installation guide
    Shrink tubing
I don't plan to get the turbo just yet but I plan to buy this first, can this kit work alone and if so will it work with the turbo kit because it says its made for the TRD supercharger but i've heard that you can use TRD supercharger stuff on the turbo. Would this work?

Get a Haltech and save yourself the time. You’ll end up with a Haltech anyway as the URD stuff is complete garbage compared to Haltech. I wish I got the Haltech sooner.

What Haltech kit should I get?

Elite 750 or 2500 would work. Best purchase you’ll make to support your turbo.

My supercharged 3.4 on 34” tires with Haltech eats these new Tacomas for lunch.

The only thing is that its only the ECU and nothing else and its $1200. What about the fuel system? The URD kit is $1k, I plan to make around 300whp, am I able to get away with getting the URD one because im not buying this stuff for some crazy drag build, just want to have a fun, fast truck to beat a couple of friends trucks you know. What are the main diffences between the URD fuel system/ECU kit vs the Elite 750 because I would still have to buy a fuel system. Not trying to spend over $4k on this project.

Stock injectors won’t be good enough for 300rwhp. I’m on stock injectors with 6lbs of boost, and no fuel delivery shortcomings.

I don't know that you can get away with the whole properly running turbo setup under 4k

Considering the CX Racing turbo kit he is looking at is $2157....he's got a lot left to address fuel and timing control.

I'm about 7k into mine so far and I still haven't purchased injectors haha. But fair enough, it could be possible with the CX kit, I couldn't use their intercooler or the china turbo for my setup so I shrugged it all off.

    LOL
    Are you supercharged or turbo'd?
I wasted a couple thousand messing with 7th injectors and piggyback controllers.

Turbo, I didn't mess with any of that outdated shit from URD. I have a haltech and a one off turbo kit that keeps things kinda out of the way

Nice. Having the Haltech is making me considering removing the supercharger in favor of a turbo.

Nice FJ, I have one of those myself.

So your saying for making 300rwhp I can stay with stock fuel system with the CXRacing kit and I should just get the elite 750 and i should be good to go? So parts list is:
    CXRacing Turbo kit
    Haltech Elite 750

And that will be good for 300rwhp

It's a wonderful tool, I'm still adjusting to all its features. I unfortunately learned NISTUNE and TunerStudio (MegaSquirt) first and Haltech is quite different. But the power handling capability is certainly there with the Haltech and a 5VZ, all down to how well you dial it in after.

Also thanks, still one of the best vehicles I've ever owned.

You'd be close. I'd do that then upgrade your injectors and fuel pump if you find out you need it. Injectors and fuel pump is $400 if you do the labor yourself.

What fuel pump and injectors is recommended for running 10 psi and under? Looking into the cx downpipe and piecing together the rest of the kit, what would be a better intercooler option as well?

You are going to need a plan for managing that fuel first.

For pumps I like AEM and Aeromotive. the 340 is what i run now and that's more than enough.
